Students can choose from a variety of special interest clubs.  Students can receive information from the office, the daily announcements, or the school newspaper.  Students should feel free to seek out information from organization members or adult advisors.  Many clubs hold open memberships and welcome students who develop interest in the activity at any time in the school year.

Band
Focuses on offering experience to young people that will result in their finding joy and excitement in the creative art of music. 
Chorus
Provides an individual and collective approach to the cultural, intellectual, and musical growth of each student in the area of musical performance.    
Drama Club
Drama Club introduces students to the world of the theater and is open to all students. All students are invited and encouraged to audition. No previous experience is required. In addition to actors and actresses, students are needed for the stage crew. Stage crew members help design and construct the set, work the lighting and sound boards and man the curtains during the productions.
Family Career and Community Leaders of America
To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Science education.  Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development; creative and critical thinking; interpersonal communications; practical knowledge; and career preparation. 
Robotics Club:  FIRST Tech Challenge - K-Island Gears
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a unique varsity sport of the mind designed to help high-school-aged young people discover how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be.
Future Educators of America
FEA is the Future Educators Association.  It is a club for high school students interested in exploring careers in education - teaching, counseling, coaching, day care, and preschool.
International Club
The International Club is for students who are taking foreign languages or have taken them.
National Honor Society
National Honor Society is composed of students in grades 10,11 and 12, who are outstanding in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. To be eligible for membership, a student must have an average of at least. The final selection is made by the faculty who judge each candidate on the basis of leadership, character and service.
National Junior Honor Society
National Junior Honor Society is composed of students in grades 8 and 9, who are outstanding in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. To be eligible for membership, a student must have an average of at least. The final selection is made by the faculty who judge each candidate on the basis of leadership. character and service.
One Act Plays
A half hour skit introduces students to the world of the theater.  Skit's are judged against the other class "One Act Plays".
Science Olympiad - High School
Dedicated to improving the quality of science education in grades 5-12, increasing male, female and minority interest in science, creating a technologically literate workforce and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science and technology.
SAFE
Student Activists For the Environment
Promotes awareness of environment by actively investigating issues, and trying to make a difference - both locally and globally.  Meetings are every Wednesday. Membership is open to any interested, motivated HS student.  Community service, leadership training, fund-raising and field trips are annual activities.
Ski Club
Ski club goes skiing and snowboarding on Dry Hill.   Membership is open to all students in grades 7 -12.
Student Council - Middle School
Student Council is the student governing body. It is composed of representatives from each class. Officers are elected "at large" in June of the previous school year.  Student Council also sponsors student assemblies, pep rallies, and several dances throughout the school year.

Whiz Quiz
The High School Quiz Team competes against other schools in televised matches at WPBS. Membership is open to all students in grades 9 - 12.
