Outreach Programs Contact us at K-Island-Gears@1000islandsschools.org and we will be glad to help out! Engineering outreach Our team works to promote engineering within our school. FIRST is designed to compliment our school’s excellent Project Lead the Way pre-engineering curriculum. Spreading FIRST Another focus in community outreach is spreading FIRST. This aspect of community service tends to get our greatest focus and returns the greatest pride to our members. Through a number of different planned activities Team 1713 works to get the message out about FIRST. We are looking at local schools to start FIRST teams by holding demonstrations at their schools and mentoring their team members. Fundraising, Community Service and Outreach Projects
