The
Senior National Honor Society is seeking nominations for
this year’s Ed Beerman Jr Memorial Teaching Award. This
award was established to celebrate Mr. Beerman’s life and
honor teachers who have demonstrated the following
qualities:

Great dedication to students
-
Motivation of students
-
Focus on teaching students what they need to know
-
Creativity in teaching methods
-
Enthusiasm
-
Balance between family and teaching
Please think about the above qualities and nominate a
teacher who you believe demonstrates these qualities. You
will receive a ballot in your first period class. Fill out
the ballot, cut on the dotted line, and put it in the
envelope by room 210 (Mrs. Gore’s room) by Thursday, May
23rd.
Applications for Summer Youth Employment Program are now available
in the Guidance office. Students must be between the ages of
14 – 21.
Teen Volunteer Summer Program – Samaritan Medical Center. Must be
14; contact 785-4479 for an application. Deadline 6/14/2013.
Scholarships
Upcoming deadlines: CSEA (5/24), and Mary Angelica Prior (6/30)
Miss Italia 2014 Pageant – ages 16-19 applications available
in Guidance. Deadline is September 1st!
