School Supply List for Mrs. Dermady's 5th Grade Class

• A sturdy backpack!  We use this EVERY DAY!

• A flexible file folder (To carry our homework/study guides in-they are at Kinney's , Wal-Mart, Staples and probably other places-you need a sturdy one to last teh school year.  This will keep our papers organized instead of individual folders please!

• 1-2 boxes of Kleenex... we ran out this past year!

• 5 dozen pencils... not mechanical, please (you do not need all of these at once)

• A nylon or vinyl zippered pencil holder... Hard pencil boxes will not fit in your desk!

• 1-2 boxes of colored pencils (we use these quite often)

• 2 packages of 3 x 5 index cards (for vocabulary cards)

• 2 or 3 erasers

• One pair of small scissors

• 1 hole punch tool (for vocabulary cards and other crafty ideas)

• A pencil sharpener-mechanical please

• 5 composition notebooks (black and white bound logs)... with at least 100 pages (most of our work will be done in these-much easier to carry and maintain than spiral)

• A water bottle-we use these daily

• An old t-shirt or art smock for ART

• $4.00 for a subscription for at least 85 days of the Watertown Daily Times-for teaching with Newspapers in Education (each child will receive their own newspaper to bring home)

No BINDERS PLEASE!

    WE DO NOT HAVE ANY ROOM IN OUR DESKS!
