Dear Parents,

Thank you for attending our first grade concert on March 3.

We are continuing to practice ten spelling words each week for the Friday spelling test. 

You may have noticed in your child’s take home papers that he/she is completing a mixed math practice and language review sheet each day. This is in preparation for the Stanford Achievement Test which will be given the week of April 30 – May 4.  Please mark your calendar and plan to have your child in school each morning that week for testing purposes.      

Our character education theme for March and April is determination. 

There will be no school on Friday, April 2. 

Our spring break is April 16 – 20.  

Thank you for you for listening to your child read his/her take home reading book each night. We are making excellent progress. 

If you are able to send a small bag of wrapped candy by April 1 for the children’s Easter baskets, I would appreciate it.
