 GOAL:  Students will begin to meet the requirements of Checkpoint A of the New York State Syllabus in Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Culture in a foreign language.

 

OBJECTIVES:  Students will become proficient in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish and cultural awareness.  Geography, customs, foods, holidays and other cultural information will be introduced.  Students will communicate in Spanish in common, day-to-day activities by providing and obtaining information, expressing feelings and emotions, exchanging opinions and socializing.  Students will understand authentic Spanish documents, literature and music.
