4.7.1: In this activity, you
will be exposed to aspects of landscaping and its effect on site
development. Landscaping plays a major role in the valuation of
property and has many purposes. The main purpose is the
management of a site’s resources. The use of design should begin
with the evaluation of what exists already on a site. This
enables the designer to be a better steward of a site’s
resources. From this initial evaluation, the designer must
consider the codes and local conditions to help in the
development of a comprehensive landscaping plan that will
increase the value of the property, its curb appeal, and its
effect on the local environment.
