5.7.1: In this activity, you
will learn to read and produce diagrams for a riser or
air-handling equipment. You will be exposed to types of
available plumbing and/or heating systems. In addition, you will
be involved in sizing of the HVAC equipment in conjunction with
the energy requirements of the building and related codes.

5.7.2: In this activity you will
learn to read and develop an electrical plan relating to a floor
plan. It will be important for you to learn how to determine the
panel location, sizing, and feeds and sub-feeds that are
required. You will develop a lighting plan; information should
be included in a reflected ceiling plan.

5.7.3: In this activity, you
will develop a protection systems plan for the included
restaurant floor plan, and then relate the design of a
protection system to your team’s project. The plan should
include fire, smoke, and gas detection/alert systems, as well as
fire suppression and security systems.
