Market Research Survey

Activity 3.1.1:  The process of systematically gathering, recording, and analyzing data about a product, process, or service, the customers, the competitors, and the market demand is what market research is all about. The information gathered during market research can help a research engineer or designer make decisions, create a plan of action, fine tune an existing product or service, expand into new markets, or create a totally new invention, which may result in a new product, process, or service.

The creation of a market research survey requires several steps. These steps are designed to answer basic questions, such as, ”What are the needs that are important to address? Are the needs being met by current products? What is happening in the market? What are the trends? How do consumers talk about products in the market?
