Asst. Principal/Director of Athletics
The Thousand Islands Central School District is seeking candidates for an Assistant Principal for grades 6-12 /Director of Athletics. General responsibilities of this position include assisting the executive principal in leadership, coordination, supervision and management of the school programs and operation. 

The successful candidates for this tenure-track position will possess solid understanding of the emotional and social development of adolescents; strong interpersonal skills with students, parents and staff; demonstrated excellence in the areas of listening, writing and oral communication; willingness to be visible in and a part of the school community and events; ability to collaborate with the faculty and administrative team; proven leadership in the coordination of athletics as well as curriculum and instruction; and enhanced knowledge of highly effective teaching practices.

The Assistant Principal provides administrative and curriculum support to the Principal to ensure that the school provides a safe, productive learning environment of the highest quality. In addition, the successful candidate will provide supervision and oversight of physical education, health, and athletics. This candidate is responsible for recruiting coaches, coordinating practice and game schedules, validating athlete eligibility, scheduling life guards, requisitioning materials and equipment, general safety and success of the Thousand Islands athletes and teams, and regular attendance at school events. The Assistant Principal also takes on the operations of the school in the Executive Principal’s absence when necessary. Salary based on experience. Physical Education Teacher, Secondary

The Thousand Islands Central School District has an anticipated opening for the 2020-2021 school year and is now accepting applications for a full-time probationary Physical Education Teacher. This teacher will be responsible for the curriculum development and implementation of high quality  physical, health, and social emotional wellness education, at the secondary level. Additional certification in the area of Health is preferred.

0.5 Preschool / 0.5 AIS Teacher

Thousand Islands CSD is accepting applications for a certified Elementary teacher to implement a new PreK program and also teach .5 AIS at Cape Vincent Elementary; this is a full time tenure track position. Must have Early Childhood Education, Birth-6 preferred. Preschool Teacher
