SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER VACANCY
Thousand Islands Central School, along the picturesque shores of the St. Lawrence River, seeks qualified applicants for a School Social Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students and advocating for their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Their duties include counseling students, connecting at- risk youth and their families with supportive resources and conducting home visits to provide additional support. The desired candidate will work with outside agencies in the local and regional communities who specialize in working with at-risk students. He/she will mentor and offer suggestions to teachers and other school personnel in an effort to meet individual student needs. The successful candidate will provide crisis intervention strategies to improve student success. NYSED certification as a School Social Worker required.

SECONDARY MATH TEACHER
The Thousand Islands Central School, along the picturesque shores of the St. Lawrence River, seeks two secondary math educators. One position has an immediate start and the other is anticipated for 9/1/23. This is an opportunity to work with a highly professional and successful department of educators on a 6-12 campus. Current offerings include Regents courses, as well as General Geometry, Business Math, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Statistics, Entrepreneurship and dual enrollment courses in partnership with Jefferson Community College. While dual certification is not required, applicants with additional coursework or certifications outside of Math may receive preference in securing an interview.

TECHNOLOGY TEACHER
Thousand Islands Central School, along the picturesque shores of the St. Lawrence River, seeks qualified applicants for an anticipated retirement vacancy in Career and Technical Education. Applicants may have schooling and/or an interest in wood shop, drafting and design, animal science, agricultural business, green energy, food science, engineering, and home maintenance. Interested applicants should be self-starters with an interest in building high interest and engaging programs that support career and technology in the 21st century. Applicants may have certification or be working toward certification. Anticipated start 9/1/2023

TYPIST
Thousand Islands CSD is accepting applications for a 12-month Office Secretary. Position opening is in the 6-12 Career & School Counseling Center. Successful candidate reports to School Counselors, School Social Worker, and Building Administration. Applicant will need to hold or earn Civil Service Typist Title. Salary and benefits per the TICSEA Contract.
