Committee on Special Education
The Thousand Islands Central School District is responsible for identifying students in need of special education services and arranging for the provision of those services. To qualify for special education services, students must be identified as being a student with an educational disability and reside within the district. The Committee on Special Education (CSE) evaluates and reviews students who are age 5 years to 21 years. The CSE will work with the necessary parties to determine if the student qualifies as a student with a disability and ensure that the student receives services in the least restrictive environment.
