Thousand Island CSD, a small three campus district along the St. Lawrence River, is seeking applicants for the positions to follow, with a start date of 9/1/23.The District seeks individuals who are lifelong learners excited about working with students of all abilities, are progressive in their instructional practices, support extracurricular activities, and/or coach interscholastic teams.

 

ELEMENTARY TEACHER

A full-time tenure track PreK- 5 Elementary opening.

 

ELEMENTARY ART

A full-time tenure track Art Education anticipated opening, at the elementary level, PreK- 5.

 

REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL NURSE
Now accepting applications for full-time RN at Bashaw Elementary School.
Applicants must possess a current NYS Professional License/Certificate.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

A full-time tenure track Special Education opening- This professional will support students at the middle school level. The district offers a continuum of services to support our students including; resource room, direct/indirect consultant teaching, special classes, and 15:1:1. While additional certifications are not required, preference may be given to those with dual certification and additional concentration in elementary education, secondary math, or secondary science.

SECONDARY ENGLISH TEACHER

A full-time tenure track;Secondary English opening-The District seeks individuals with multiple certifications, course work in special education, and/or a 5-8 extension. Applicants should have knowledge of and experience with Google Suite, software programs that enhance learning for all, and strategies to support students needing academic intervention.

SECONDARY MATH TEACHER

A full-time tenure track Secondary Math opening- The successful candidate will collaborate with a supportive department of professional veteran teachers. We offer various Math opportunities to all levels of learners and interests. Along with regents courses we have instructional opportunities in Entrepreneurship, Practical Geometry, Statistics, College Prep Algebra, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, and academic intervention support.

SECONDARY SCIENCE TEACHER VACANCY
A full-time tenure track Secondary Science opening for a teacher with certification in one or more of the following areas:Physics, Chemistry, Living Environment, and Earth Science. While multiple/dual certifications are not required, preference may be given to those with coursework, concentration, or certifications in, but not limited to, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering and/or Special Education. Applicants must be passionate about teaching and learning at all levels from General Science to College/Advanced Placement level, familiar with Google Suite, and versed in the standards and expectations for success on the NYS Regents.
